LAKE IN THE WOODS is a controlled access community. This ensures minimal traffic on our streets and contributes to our sense of security through our gates, video monitoring and access control guards. All visitors entering our property must be authorized via a phone call or pass you requested. Residents may request a windshield token for their convenience. The resident-only gate is an amenity for residents that will raise the entrance gate automatically with no gate-guard involvement.
LITW will continue to enforce the policy that every vehicle without authorization–a valid access token, driver pass or owner call-in– must be stopped to identify the driver and/or authorization and destination. Any vehicle without a valid access token (including visitors, contractors and residents) must use the left-hand access lane so the gate guards can do their job. We have high-resolution cameras that accurately and automatically record every license plate number day and night.
The lines below are to request windshield access tokens. Our standing procedure continues to be to provide tokens only to vehicles registered to an LITW resident/address. Please include a) a photocopy of the registration for vehicles with any new license plates and b) a check for $10.00 drawn to the account of Lake in the Woods HOA for each token.
PLEASE TAKE NOTE: Residents must pay to add new or replace any token that “gets lost” (cost is $10.00). The lost token will be inactivated and therefore useless. These tokens should last many years.
